Baker’s research focuses on how uncertainty is addressed during the planning and delivery of major projects and programmes (also known as ‘megaprojects’ in the field of project management research). These uncertain events are often unforeseen and are challenging to overcome. The in-depth study investigates this problem by taking into account how the various strategic and operational organisational levels and processes interact to address these complex issues.
